Any idea where to buy them?

Been to Asda, Tesco, Waitrose and all of their online shops and nothing!

I bought some Lardons in Sainsbury's the other day if that's what you're looking for - pretty sure everywhere does them though?

Sainsburys does 2 kinds. Big packs of lardons and smaller packs (come in pairs) of cubed pancetta. I find that the former is good for pies and tomato based sauces, although they can be a little too fatty and the latter is better for carbonara and cream based sauces.

Sainsburys you say... Not one that close to me, will need to spot one on my travels.

Could you point me in the direction of the isles they might be on?

yes The big lardons are with the bacon and the little pancetta ones are in the cold meats cabinet with the other Italian bits.

Packs of lardons - in the bacon/gammon section.
Cubed pancetta - in the continental hams/salami section.

Are you actually talking about raw cubed pork like Pancetta and Lardons.
Or do you mean the cripsy bacon "things" that you sprinkle over salads and the like?

These things http://www.schwartz.co.uk/productdetail.cfm?ID=528...

Humm. You lot seem to be on about 1cm cubes?

I'm after the tiny specs you get, like so:

I get them in my sandwich from a local sandwich shop, but they buy them wholesale...

it would help if you/we knew what you were looking for

lardons, pancetta cubes or bacon bits?

Couldn't you just cook bacon in the oven until it's really really crispy and dried out, let it cool down then put it into a food bag and bash it with a rolling pin?

Oh and if anyone wants lardon type bits then I can put a good word in for the twin packs which Lidl sell.

The suggestions other people made were not bacon bits, but pancetta, so they were wrong :P

We bought a huge tub of these from costco the other day. Find someone with a card and pester them!

Give me real bacon anytime.

So you are after the crunchy stuff that you can put on salad and sarnies?

Thats not bacon that is bacon flavoured soya bits....

Tried it once and its fking horrible....

Its located in the salad section on a stand by itself with the other bits they make like dried onions, mint and olive and other crap.

It costs about a £1 and you get a minute amount.... OH got bked for wasting money on it last time when real bacon is sooooo much cheaper.
