Cup a soup or the likes, where to get big jars?
Discussion
This may seem like a strange request, but Im looking for a semi healthy savoury drink to replace coffee and tea.
I like soup and thought I could get a jar in powdered format (yes not as good as fresh but its easy to store at work, etc) and just have some of that when bored of coffee, etc...
But the only stuff I can find is the 4 packets in a box and not wanting to pay 30p a cup of soup.
I have tried the supermarkets and they have none
So need some savory drinks (soups, bovril, etc) that I can take to work and enjoy rather than coffee and tea.
Vaugely healthy please.
Cheers.

This is what I use for stock, Asda sell it so I assume available most anywhere:

You can put a teaspoon in a mug of boiling water for a savoury drink - which I occasionally do. There's a regular and a reduced salt version (I use both for stock, generally reduced salt for a drink). There is also a Miso soup one - I've only ever seen that in Holland and Barrat and never tried it

I have seen this in Sainsburys but cant find it on their site. Basically a big jar rather than individual packets. Most disappointed

Unfortunately that stuff for me is like curry to a pisshead. I will decimate the jar in days, not sure of the health implications of that, but doubt its good.
I'm sure Makro will do a catering version to satisfy the most beefiest of needs. Its high in salt, but thats about it I think.

Packet soups aren't healthy, even the low calories variety. Sure they're low on calories but contain little nurition and are loaded with salt. Salt = water retention = higher blood pressure. Calories aren't the only factor in being healthy.I like soup and thought I could get a jar in powdered format (yes not as good as fresh but its easy to store at work, etc) and just have some of that when bored of coffee, etc...

I've bought the jars of cup-a-soup in either Tesco or Sainsbury recently.
I'm talking about an average coffee jar size, but full of cup-a-soup mixture.
Not seen it in bulk in costco though, just the sachets of Ainsly Harriet stuff as mentioned above. (The ones that I've tried have been pretty good.)

Macro for bulk, but I wouldn't say they were that much cheaper than buying smaller packs from the supermarket tbh.
Also, they aren't as healthy as you think. Some are actually quite unhealthy, especially on the salt front.
Also, if you are going to buy a massive pack, make sure you have tried it first before buying!!
