Chelsea to Central London: Food then drinks

Hello all.

My sister and BIL are coming over to London (from France) this month and are looking for some recommendations for good English food and some nice bars in the evening.

They're staying in Chelsea, so anything around there or in towards the centre is ideal. They're smokers, so any decent bars with nice outside areas for the evening would be appreciated.

Thanks for you help in advance.

ETA: Just seen the wiki, Phoenix looks good for food. Any other ideas appreciated.

My French agent always likes to be taken to Boisdale. Good food, Jazz band and a great bar. Just off Eaton Square. I usually take them for a drink at the Grenadier first (over the other side of Eaton Square).
