Turkey Crown Size?

A friend of mine traditionally buys a 14 to 16lb Turkey at Christmas.

This year, he wants to purchase a Turkey Crown - but has no idea what size crown is comparable.

Does anyone here?

i'd say 7lb, but that's a guess

wrap the crown in good quality bacon and you're on to a winner.

Allow at least 12oz per diner, more if they're all gannets like my family. biggrin.

Wrap in bacon (smoked is nice, adds to the flavour) and then wrap in foil to cook. Uncover for last half hour or so, crisps the bacon. Once cooked, allow to rest (covered) for at least 20 minutes.

If you measure the dimensions of your oven find whichever crown just scrapes in and that is the size you need.
