Hi

I'm not the most adventurous cook in the world so need some help.

The Mrs is coming home on Tuesday after a few weeks away and I'd like to cook something, totally open to suggestions but no fish, would like something with either chicken or beef in it.

Please post your favourites.

Thanks

Good old steak! You don't want to be faffing around in the kitchen when you could be spending time with the missus.
Buy a couple of nice butcher fillet steaks, some saute or wedges, mushrooms/onions and nice crisp green veg. Can't go wrong

There are few nicer smells to fill your house with than baking bread, or a roasting chicken, and both are easy. Or, find the salt'n'pepper chicken wings thread and try them...

At the moment Sainsbury's are doing mini roasts.

Boneless stuffed chicken thighs (pack of 4) roast them as per the instuctions. Boil some new potatoes & roast for an hour, chuck in some mixed veg for 25 mins

This also works well and very easy

Eight sausages to feed four people? Surely some mistake.

I'd go with a good beef casserole, slow cooked, with baked taters. Once it's in the oven needs very little attention, so that you can slip the wife a lenght instead of worrying about the food.
