I spent a year working in New Zealand, during which time I also set to the task of working through the Kiwi wine. Some amazing pinot noir from Martinborough and also Otago.
Also some stunners which are hard to find in the UK: The 'Founder's / Family Reserve' sauvignon blanc from Babich and Nobilo. Mmmm. Mmmm. Mmmm.

Marlborough definitely - some of my favourite wines are Marlboro' Pinot Noir's.Otago - not so sure. They do nice whites, but I don't think the climate suits red, even Pinot. (We did some wine tasting in Otago and were (a) disappointed and (b) shocked at how much these people wanted to charge for distinctly mediocre wine!

Dry Gully is a lovely Pinot Noir (imo).
