Ever invented your own dish to rival omelette arnold bennett, eggs benedict or pavlova?

Well I will be doing my own newly invented interpretation of a classic dish tomorrow and putting it first on this very forum for you to gaze in wonder on and then post either "I'm a bit disappointed to be honest, deep fried butter beans in curry sauce are not my cup of tea" or conversely "Wow, whale meat frittata, suck on that Gordon"

I have been drinking brandy all night though, so maybe I will just wake up in the morning and remember what I just posted and panic and pop down the local supermarket.

Stay tuned.....

The Gorilla is on order from Lidl as we speak. One can only hope it is better than their lobster...

Well here it is!

FANFARE OF TRUMPETS

and completely out of focus thanks to my crap camera frown .... The English breakfast in left over Yorkshire pudding from Christmas!

Tasted great. Next time I think I can squeeze in one of those blackpudding slices into the bottom.

How about a 'fort' of chips around the edge to build up the walls, then you could pack more in? smile

I can tell you a man who when going to a self service salad bar uses same technique with lettuce to get a bowl about 8 inches high wink

I used the Hairy Bikers poached egg method here and it does work, though I would say 30 seconds rather than 20 and also still make sure your pan of water is really swirling and is also boiling merrily.
