Started off cutting up the bunny - ended with fishing out the "Winnie-the-Pooh-plasters".

I'll just have to claim the rabbit bit me......

Bambi was much more obliging. Apart from the onions (usual occular attack), no further medical incidents have been reported.

What on earth did you do? Stab yourself with the gutting knife? Slice yourself whilst skinning it?

I once amazed my old man. I was out very, very late as a teenager (I was on a promise and nothing was going to stop me). Drove back and ran over a hare. Being a country lad I brought it home, skinned and gutted it that night then went to bed.

Dad was amazed, but also quite proud, to find it "oven-ready" in the fridge.

Mum was less pleased to find everything else wrapped in newspaper and stinking out the bin.
