Does anyone have experience of a juicing machine? Mrs ALC is on at me to buy a juicer which takes whole fruit and veg, spits out the pulp into a bucket and holds the juice in a container. Sounds too good to be true - does anyone have one? Are they as good as they claim to be? Is there a video online anywhere showing exactly how they work?
Cheers (wine, not juice!)

We've one of these on loan, and they work very well though you do need to clean them:

But, if you are considering these you should consider the 4200 food processor- it takes exactly the same juicing attachments but does your food processing as well, so less devices on the work surfaces...

Phew, long trip to the East Wing tonight. Dark corridors shudders
So, 'tis one of these: http://www.juicemaster.com/product.php?id=3
Recommended! Juices up a storm, quite a groovy man toy really, like a powertool. Discards all the crap. Leaves lovely juice. Mmmm, juice.

Pain in the arse.
Having been introduced to the delights of juiced fresh pineapple and ginger in Australia, I thought I'd buy a juicer back here in the UK.
Big mistake.
The thing sprays sugary crap everywhere, and is a biatch to clean.
I've used it twice, if that.
I've probably used mine twice as well. Took forever to clean it and the effort to clean/reward was a no go. It is now waiting in a pile for the next charity shop drop off. A food processor/blender could do the job just as well with less cleaning involved.Having been introduced to the delights of juiced fresh pineapple and ginger in Australia, I thought I'd buy a juicer back here in the UK.

Sir, I challenge that assumption. You'd have to peel everything rather than just shoving it in the hole at the top. Plus, a juicer is so much more fun than a poxy blender. Pffft.hornetrider said:
