So what's you're favourite? smile

Me, I'm more of a meat pie man myself, although not too struck on game.

Over to you.

Massive massive arse to make but very very much worth it in the end.

Al, you've just cost me an overnight shipping charge from my favourite british food vendor. 4 steak and 4 steak and kidney pies en route (along with a few scottish meat pies and some lorne sausage)

Scotch pie. Absolutely no comparison... crunchy (and yet soft!) pastry on the outside, juicy and succulent spicy mutton in the middle. Yeah, it's not exactly healthy, but then a healthy pie is rarely a good pie...

I make home-made Chicken, Bacon and Mushroom pie.

It's wonderful if I say so myself and can be made in an evening - no need to do the long slow casserole pie filling...

When I lived in the US I longed for proper pies. All they make over there are ghey pies filled with cherries or cream or chocolate. Barely a single man-pie in the whole country, odd in a place that loves meat so much.

Pies are best eaten on a cold day, perhaps watching a football match where they warm you up. Given that any pie is nice.

Desperate Dan's Christmas Pie:
Mix up all the Christmas leftovers (turkey, ham, potatos, sprouts, etc. - a complete meal), and put in deep pie pots (at least 3"). Add a gravy to the top of the filling. Then the kicker:- add at least 1/2" of freshly made sausagement stuffing of your preference - this puts a something special in every mouthful. Finally a puff pastry cap.

Like a Cow Pie, eat from the dish in comically oversized portions - a 6" wide pie dish gives a belt-busting, man-sized meal.
