Why on earth does it have that stupid wax seal?

The bottle closure isn't even a cork and I've just stabbed myself in the hand (cue blood everywhere) trying to open the thing.

Can anyone recommend a good sour mash bourbon without such hazards?

Buffalo trace isnt bad. very "bourbon-y", not one to convince non-drinkers (if you get what i mean).

Bakers is good too, but quite expensive.

Someone out there has had a bottle that i hand dipped in the wax when i went on their factroy tour as a nipper.

Its lovely stuff though well worth the apparent struggle of pulling the cord...
