Having been motivated by the Lidl lobster thread on here a few weeks ago, I am now the proud owner of a couple of said frozen beasts. OK, I know they may be nearer to Crayfish and the quality may be questionable, but I couldn't resist giving them a go.
Question is, what to make out of them? First thoughts were along the lines of a creamy pasta type dish, but i'm open to anyone's good suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Lobster Paella is good.

Personally I prefer them served chilled with some crusty bread and butter and a nice glass of dry white.

AsAs quality might be a bit suspect, I would not do the basic char grill/lemon juice, done recipe.

A cheesy, creamy thermidor would be pretty nice - could mix that with pasta too. Perhaps make a nice thick chowder-like soup with it too.

If it were me though, I'd strip all the meat out, boil up the shells to make a nice fish stock, and cook it in a curry (indian or thai), look up a Goan (think coconut milk and tamarind) crab curry and replace crab with lobster.

Gawd I'm hungry now!

They are quite 'chewy' so I'd suggest a fish curry / stew rather than grilling them.

Defrost them in cold water - this will help get the excess saltiness out.
