I love it. Forget all that Cornish and American stuff.

Used to get of cuts from the factory...

New flavours, ice-cream truffles, damaged goods (usually meant someone had knocked it on the flour, so the packaging was damaged), those were the days cloud9

Oddly enough, they now make crisps aswell.

Minghella, nothing else will do.

Especially Absinthe Sorbet, Kentucky Cocktail Cream, Plums and Armagnac and Vanilla fig with burnt sugar.

Oh my God! I did not realise they did other flavours in addition to the Vanilla and Honeycomb. Where do I find the others? lick

Alternatively, for some good English ice cream (we built a number of walls (no pun intended) to keep the rebellious Scots out) try some http://www.newforesticecream.com/index.html. The Honeycomb Swirl and Clotted Cream are my personal favourites; the latter I find best served with a slab of Dorset Apple Cake. Even more so when eaten on the green overlooking Christchurch Harbour, on a Sunday afternoon in late summer.

One of the Dive Boats I used to work on a bit had big tubs of Mackies lurking in the freezer, it never lasted long! ACE!

I'm not a fan of their latest offering though, they seem to have brought out a larger (cheaper?) tub of something like the normal supermarket crap. Do not be taken in.

Noticed The original stuff on offer in Lidl a few weeks back
