Port

I am partial to the odd drop, especially with cheese, but I only tend to buy the widely available stuff from M&S etc.

So I would greatly appreciate some interesting and tasty recommendations. I would only like to stipulate that:

1) I will be able to find and therefore buy the products
2) A bottle won't cost more than my car did

Taylors 10year old tawney, at about 16quid a bottle is about the best value for money stuff u can buy, IMO

Oddly enough, I always buy my port in France - for some reason it's dirt cheap there.

Warres Otima tawny port is about 12 quid iirc and is great! Oddbins should stock it

Avoid the 1/2 price one at Tesco at the moment, it's dire...

Buy some proper port - vintage port - at auction for £12-15 btl.
Once you've had that - you will spit out tawny, LBV and the like
