Had the pleasure of trying this last night;

http://www.brewdog.com/tactical_nuclear_penguin.ph...

A mate bought a bottle around christmas time and has been itching to crack it open ever since, so last night we did!

We drank it in 'measures' and it damn well needs to be! It is more potent than even the ABV suggests and is very full on flavour wise.

I like my thick, strong beers (old tom, brooklyn brewery etc) but this is on another level altogether.

I seems they have gone one step further though, with a new brew at 41%!!!

Thanks for the first decent post on this, there have been quite a few threads punted over from GG - one question - was it worth it for a taste?

This is an extremely strong beer, it should be enjoyed in small servings and with an air of aristocratic nonchalance. In exactly the same manner that you would enjoy a fine whisky, a Frank Zappa album or a visit from a friendly yet anxious ghost.
I love this. Especially the Zappa ref.

The taste was bitter sweet, with a smokyness to it and was quite coarse in a similar way to JD.

I quite liked it, as an alternative to say a whisky at the end of the night, but would still prefer a decent brandy lol.

Certainly unique though, and I couldn't see anyone being able to swig it from the bottle even if they were daft enough to try!

I was tempted to get a bottle, then I cracked open a bottle of the 'tokyo' one they did, as well as a few of their less gimmicky offerings (they were only a quid a bottle in sainsbury's so no big loss), I forget their name but there were blue labelled and red labelled bottles, and their IPA.

4 of us sat down, and we pretty much agreed across the board that they all tasted like the devils underpants had been left to stew in a tramps bath, then strained through his underpants. Awful, awful stuff. Every one of them.

TBH, only other Brewdog beer I have tasted is Punk IPA (which I think you're referring to) and that is the worst beer I have a ever tried, absolutely foul.

Their Punk IPA is lovely stuff, are you a soft lager drinking puff or summit?
