Poach them and have them with fresh British asparagus
Yep, blanch some new asparagus and top with a few lightly boiled or poached quails eggs. Drizzle with a bit of clarified butter and dress it up with your favourite baby herbs. Serve on a trendy shaped china platter./that's £12.95 please
Lightly boiled with a salad I think! Thanks for the sugesstions, I think I have some asparagus handy too!
I would poach them, but I suck royally at poaching eggs, every 3rd one with chicken eggs works for me, with two wasted/mashed up/disolved in the pan. I dont want to waste my little cadbury mini-eggs.

What Jamie Oliver did in Spain the other week looked nice.
Take a sliced French stick, toast it, rub on some fresh tomato, a slice of Serrano ham, topped with a fried Quail's egg.
Make three of these and then eat them for breakfast whilst sitting outside on the balcony overlooking the pool and the Spanish countryside.

Or (like I had in Vietnam) hard boil, peel, dip in salt and munch.
If oyu do poach or boil them and want them soft / runny, be aware they take a lot less time than a normal egg due to size (seems self evident, but I overcooked the first time I did them).
The last time I used them was for a tuna nicoisse which I posted on here.
