Dinner stop needed, Reading to Exmoor
Discussion
I'm driving down to Illfracombe in North Devon from Reading this Friday and was looking for somewhere to stop off and grab some dinner. We'll be leaving around 7 in the evening and it should take around 3 hours so can be anywhere on route really, although somewhere on the coast or Exmoor might be nice, but not too much of a detour if possible.
Does anybody have any recomendations?

Squires fish and chips in Braunton- think they serve until 10pm and you might even miss the queue by the time you get there. Consistently excellent fish and chips!
You could also try the Willow tree in Taunton- its very small and tucked away, but has the best value for money food i've evr come across- no idea why it doesn't have at least one star, and you need to book in advance, but gosh its worth it- probelm is you probably won't want to get back in the car.

We normally stop at the Hankridge Arms in Taunton - http://www.thegoodpubguide.co.uk/pub/view/Hankridg... ; http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&a... - literally 2 minutes from M5 J25, excellent food and a lovely pub all round. Highly recommended.
