Yes, I know it's a bit soon after our Wales trip - but I've just got home after a lovely weekend in Yorkshire. I kept thinking to myself as I was *enjoying* some of the twisties up around Malham that it would make a great location for another get together.

What do the stalwarts of FD&R think?

I've been thinking about this myself. Somewhere Oop Narth would be great. I've never been, and there are a number of noteable PH food heroes in the area: Mark Benson, Pferdestarke and Escargot to name but three.

I'm in Cheshire myself (the land of fake tan and range rover sports) but Yorkshire's good, as is Derbyshire or indeed the lake district.

We're easy on dates except Aug and Sept (long and expensive trip to France for our birthdays)

You're all welcome to visit the PH pigs while you're up here (as long as you get here before August, when they leave us.....).

We're just outside Richmond, so lovely scenery, great driving roads and lots of holiday places to rent in the area.

Might even join you for a drinking session meal

Well Skipton is ideally placed for both food and drink (local food producers and an excellent local brewery). Would the suggestion of camping be total heresy?

Camping? I can see 2 scenarios:
1. All the other campers on the site leave.
2. We get kicked out.

I can't do a full week but would more than likely be able to do a Friday and Saturday night.

I was thinking the same, a Friday and a Saturday night camping, with a massive BBQ and a decent run out into the dales on the Saturday... We'd have to find a tame camp site that is PH friendly, and maybe hire the whole thing out.

Either that or look at a holiday cottage.....

If you have to camp, dates permitting I could probably let you have part of a field.

At least you wouldn't have to worry about upsetting the other campers (only my wife, arguably that could be worse....) and we have no neighbours for a good quarter mile.

I'm easily pleased, so whatever the majority decides. The only thing with camping is lack of decent cooking appliances.

Camping in good weather is great, camping in crap weather is crap.

I am sorted for camping,tent, blow up mattres, gas lamps, cold box, BBQ.

I'm not sleeping in a fking childs bunk bed again! Only clobbered my head once during the week (woke up in the middle of the night and thought I was at home in my own bed), but trying to attempt to climb up to the top when pissed was a recipe for disaster, so just shoved delicately moved the Mrs sideways and passed out drifted off to sleep.
