Has anyone been here since it's been a gastro pub rather than a thai?

If so, what was it like?

I've not been, but know quite a few people who have and it's supposed to be 'alright'! IMO there are quite a few better places around the area that would serve better food. If you like thai, then 'The Thai Restaurant' in old town Poole is very good.
