Favorite Vodka

So to all you Vodka lovers, what is your favorite?

Mine has to be Grey Goose, followed closely by Belvedere.

When I went to Barcelona in April I managed to get a bottle of Belvedere Intense at Duty Free, black bottle and 50% as opposed to 40%, that was very nice.

So what is your favorite?

Russian Standard Platinum

Unflavoured: Grey Goose or Belvedere.

Flavoured: Hangar One (Buddha's Hand) or Van Gogh (all of them, but the melon one in particular).

If anyone can get a hand on the latter please let me know from where. I've only managed to find it in the US and no one will ship to the UK.

Zubrowka and Stolichnya, but I'll freely admit, I'll take a good gin in preference most warm days.

Grey Goose. Stoli is a close second. Grey Goose makes the best martinis imho (proper martinis, that is. Ones where you simply whisper the word "vermouth" over the top)

Then its just a case of which ones have a more 'affected' flavour than the others really.

Kettel One was always quite good.
Absolut isnt bad for a run of the mill bottle.
Stoli always featured high on the list.
Grey Goose also, thought not as widely available and carried a hefty premium.

The new bottle of Reyka I have is pretty good.

Zubrowka. Can easily do a bottle (or two) in one session. We have a bottle in the freezer always. Straight shots are perfect. Fresh pressed Apple Juice and Ice is divine.

I do enjoy Belvedere though and tend to alternate between buying the two of them.

The 'ordinary' Russian Standart is widely available and often on offer - typically £10 for 70cl at Sainos, £15 a litre at Chavsda.

It's far smoother than anything else at that price point.
