Check out this excerpt from an email my Brother just sent suming up his sunday.
The one day a week I take off and he hospitalises himself! I have now quit the job in question as he:
a) Chopped his thumb a bit on the equipment.
b) Was able to work away un noticed whilst bleeding profusely for three hours
c) Unable to bandage it because the boss had put the first aid kit in his car, then bought the van.
d) Got b
ked for not cleaning down after service.
e) Obviously doesnt need me!

Also, good news, I have my first war wound in the cheffing business! Lol. I have taken on a second job doing cheffing at a place down in Bouin Plumoison but the other day I managed to shave five millimetres off the top of my left thumb! Big Drama but not to worry, after completing the service, I hopped on the bike to go to the hospital where it was successfully reattached with the minimum of fuss. The stitches come off in 2 weeks!
Ive heard of people doing stupid things in the kitchen, but that takes the biscuit! The fact that he served 30 covers with his hand wrapped in a tea towel and shoved in his pocket is a testiment to his lunacy. The one day a week I take off and he hospitalises himself! Meh.
A few days ago I sliced through the top of my thumb with a newly-sharpened bread knife.
My tetanus is up-to-date, so I cleaned the cut with vodka, glued it together with superglue (all a hospital would do) and carried on.
OUCH, My bro did it with a Santoku Knife, at least that wasnt serated!A few days ago I sliced through the top of my thumb with a newly-sharpened bread knife.

Don't get super glue in the wound itself or they have to reopen the wound and start again... little bit painful A few days ago I sliced through the top of my thumb with a newly-sharpened bread knife.

to the OP, i am glad i dont see how serving food with a bleeding hand fits any definition of 'service'.
