Best high st Chorizo

Who sells the best cooking chorizo? I like to use chorizo as an ingredient but have been disappointed of late with the quality. Usually get mine from Waitrose but have access to all the usual places.

Waitrose historically sold a chorizo in two pieces, each about the size of a thumb, joined by a bit of string, under the name of '_____ de pueblo', or something like that.

Recently, Waitrose charcuterie offerings have fallen substantially short of the mark: the 'Unearthed' range for example talks a good case, but is fundamentally cheap, fatty ste.

For the dried/ready to eat stuff Aldi or Lidl are hard to beat (and at half the price of Waitrose) I'm yet to find anywhere that stocks cooking Chorizo.

Yes, had some of that but didn't think it was that great.

It's a popular ingrediant nowadays, why is it so hard to find?

Lidl chorizo is great - much tastier than the stuff I tried from morrisons to compare.

Larger Tesco stores (aka Great White Satan) stock cooking Chorizo, I've used it a few times, it's not bad.
