The price of Pringles
Discussion
I don't do much shopping these days - Mrs Puggit gets the weekly shop in from Ocado or Sainsburys. Mrs Puggit has taken the Puggettes away for a week in Devon, and has left me to fend for myself.
I popped to the local JS emporium to fill up for the week, and after selecting some dips looked for some crisps to dip in them.
Now I always considered Pringles at £1.50 to be steep - but they were a whole gigantic £2.03 per tube. Yes, that's right, remodelled, reconstituted potato in fashionable flavours is now £2.03 per tube.
F..k off Pringles, I bought some Dorritos for 2/3 of the price.

i thought had now been included in the potatoe tax, and so the price has gone up. I remember they always got away with not being called a crisp as such so were not taxed on the luxuary item, but some court ruled they do have enough potato content now :confused :
Good effort but it's just the marketing department striping you up as it's a premium added value product innit.SJobson said:
I tried to make mashed potato from Pringles once, by pouring boiling water over some. It didn't work.
Its always worth a go trying these things though. When I was 9 I 'invented' savoury cereal by adding salt to my Shredded Wheat and milk.
It was a bad invention.
Additionally don't try crab sticks as the base for a 'seafood' stir fry. Especially as the only other ingredients I had were carrots and soy sauce.
However, Findus Crispy Pancake sandwiches were genius. University was a voyage of discovery in so many ways.
