Old Fashioned Sweets

I'm a lazy bugger. And I'll admit it. I want opinions again.

Due to many requests, I've started selling old fashioned sweets but finding it so damn hard choosing what to get in. So many to choose from and I get a bit sweet struck. It culminated in not being able to find barley sugars and getting stroppy about it, so I'm going to do something about it. I need direction though.

What are your favourites?

Mine are Rhubarb and Custard I feel I should offer more than that to be an equal opportunities supplier.

We found that when we sold sweets that the most popular were the ones that were easy to recognise.
Such as everton mints , jelly babies , liquorice allsorts , dolly mixtures.

Cola bottles, Blackjacks, Wine Gums, and Refreshers. Though I don't eat any sweets that often these days.

Beer bottles are like cola bottles, but less gummy and taste like cheap shandy.

Mmmm yeah I concur, choccy cigarettes in a proper little ciggy box, totally not PC but cool nontheless.

Sponge bananas.
That chocolate powder stuff, I think it was called choc-lick.
Then there was chocolate nibbles, little choccy pellets with the odd bit of coconut in them, dusted in icing sugar. There were larger versions of the nibbles too, soft creamy chocolatey blobs, probablya blend of lard and chocolate!

you can still get them loose. They do not have the red bits on the end are now called candy sticks

I've seen some that look like lager glasses.

Aquarterof stock over 600 lines! I can't buy that much (not right now anyhow )

I have a toy shop and when we have time we pack them up in plastic containers . They do sell well
