I just picked up a load of second hand, home brew kit on the cheap.

I want to start making ale from scratch- i.e. not ready made mixtures. does anyone have any decent recipes or are there any definitive websites with recipes and (layman freindly)guides

Get yourself to a Bookshop, local Brewshop, or on Amazon, there are some very good books about and a great way to get started!
