I think I have found the ultimate knife
Discussion
As per the title really, and as the guys at GF&W can attest I'm rather into my knives, but my latest acquisition has really raised the bar for me working in my home kitchen... I've just bought an 18cm Kasumi Titanium coated Santoku knife, and after experimenting with teflon coated blades (Khun Rikon), Global, Seki Magoroku, and Kyocera Ceramic FK Series (amongst others), this really is in a different league.
Anyone else tried/bought one of these... ?

From what I understand, the titanium is bonded onto the Molybdenum Vanadium folded steel core
Is that before or after it is placed into the tachyon field emitter temporal rift and subjected to multi positronic prion bombardment?Plotloss said:
I'm sure it's very lovely but why?
Do you do a lot of sashimi?
I've honestly never found myself wanting with a standard steel knife of decent quality. Wusthof etc.

Why Japanese? Simply, they get sharper, hold their edge longer, are thinner (therefore lighter and better balanced) and generally cut better than the heavy German ones.
Using our old Zwilling Henckles feels like trying to cut things with a mallet in comparison with our jap knives.
