I'd say it's induction but based on hundreds of small areas rather than four. Induction hobs autodetect ferrous pans so it shouldn't be hard. However whether such a small area can 'induce' effectively is another matter.
It's not induction it's plain old ceramic. We ditched our ceramic for a number of reasons, but one was it stayed hot after you switched it off. This will do that too.
So old technology used in a novel way with a nice screen on it. No thanks.
