Instant Coffee
Discussion
Usually I drink my freshly ground coffee at work/home.
I'm just wondering if there is any instant coffee that compares to fresh coffee? The reason I'm asking is that sometime at home I can't be bothered to go through all the kerfuffle of making a brew with the fresh stuff. (Plus i'm in a hotel and want a decent morning brew now I'm sans caffetierre!)

As it's been said already, there is no instant coffee that compares.
There is a good solution, especially if you like your coffee black - a cafetiere mug like this one - http://www.leekes.co.uk/Mugs/Hot-Cafetiere-Mug-in-...
They work a treat.

I have one of those (the caffetiere mug!) sliced bread has nothing on it!
Attempted a cup of Kenco "coffee" tonight. that went down the sink.
The coffee bar thing in the uni appears the grind coffee then produces (hitchhikers guide style!) something that almost like but completely unlike coffee!
I'll have to grin & bear it for a week until I bring my tin of coffee!

If you want something that makes a quick coffee, you need a George Clooney (aka Nespresso).
It's not quite instant (takes about 30 seconds), and it's quite pricey to buy initially but it makes great coffee, it's fresh and tastes superb.
I second that. It's not quite instant (takes about 30 seconds), and it's quite pricey to buy initially but it makes great coffee, it's fresh and tastes superb.
I'm the only one in the house who drinks coffe and I hate the instant stuff (I take it black with no sugar).
Very impressed with the Nespresso solution but it gets expensive for large volumes. Their after sales service is excellent.
