The Sun Inn is to appear once again on national television on BBC 1 in the programme Country Tracks.
Although, filmed in the Sun’s famous Red Brick Bar in March this year, it is hoped that it will also feature unique footage of much loved and sadly missed former landlady Flossie Lane.
Pub regular Wayne Smith captured Floss on film during the Annual Beer Festival in August 2007 and kindly donated a copy to the BBC to use in the show.

Nice to see the old place is still going. First came across it in the early 90s when a couple of work colleagues were frequent visitors. I remember my first visit as other than the sign, which had seen better days and looked a bit isolated, there was nothing to indicate that it was a pub. Things weren't helped when I stuck my head inside the door and it looked like an ordinary house - until Flossie appeared and invited me in. Sat in the 'bar' with a couple of locals whilst she went away to get me a pint. A real step back in time to how pubs used to be.

If the visitors book is still there there'll be entry from 1995 or 1996 from a slightly typsy me going on about the warm welcome, the warm fire and the excellent beer.

Yes there are still a very few places like this that still exist but I fear most will go with the passing of the landlord/lady
