Tell me about this fungus

Anything of interest here? The little brown ones in the middle at the top look like they could possibly be magic mushrooms, unofrtunately I hadn't spotted them when I took the photo. There were literally thousands of these today.

Certainly not Psilocybin, if that's what you're thinking of. Those are paler and grow on grass.

I think they're all of the genus 'Mycena'. Some of these are edible, but I personally don't bother with them.

They have a small cap that goes from brown to purple to white, seems that the diameter is about 1 to 3cm. Another clue is they are growing in semi shade at floor level rather than off dead trees etc. They have a prominent stem that can be seen under the bell shaped cup which narrows it down further.

So given the above I am going to guess mushrooms.
