My firm owns the building Cote are in, so it gets the vote from me so they can pay their rent hehe

Having said that, they would get my vote anyway smile

Cheers all.
We couldn't get into Cote as it was full until late, so we ended up in a small place called
"Il Bistro" which i thought was very nice, dated decor but the food was excellent.
I'll be sure to book Cote next time.

yes

I turned up at 5.15pm on a Wednesday with the family expecting to just sit down and had to beg and plead with the manager, and promise to be out within the hour. Busy place that.

Glad you found somewhere nice. Wife and daughter who really ought to know better and have been shopping there since the year dot, got suckered into a 'restaurant' in Ship Street. Oily hustler outside promising the world on a plate while inside they have a pile of packet meals and a water-cooled tin opener. Been moaning about it ever since, should at least have gone to Donatello's (like that nice Mr. Blair once did rolleyes) and spared me the earache.grumpy
