Was just wondering if anyone has any ideas what might be the
location in the UK with the highest concentration of take aways/restaurants in a small area,i recentley visited the town of Bedford for the first time and was taken aback by the number of them in Tavistock st. At least 25 in a 300yd section of the street, about 15 of which were Indians.
Or any suggestions for any location which has the highest concentration of any type of businesses in any particular area.
Any nominations?

yes

This was actually going through my mind this afternoon as I trundled down the A666 into sunny Bolton and saw a new gaff proudly announcing it's coming soon status. Can you just imagine if this was actually 100% legit and as such the new business chap needing to go to a real bank manager and requesting funds for the gap in the market he's just seen. Nowhere near enough purveyors of late night sludge sir (in an area which seems to be lacking in nightlife), golden opportunity for profit biggrin

Bedford has a lot, and the fact that they will deliver to you even if you just order two samosas shows how much they are prepared to work for very little money.

I do indeed. Club wise, the only thing I've ever been aware of doon that way is Atlantis (not being THAT local - thankfully smile) so I shudder at the thought of how wonderful anything else in the locale might be. Rileys - ??? Hadn't really noticed it until today but looked real classy all the same.

Rather sadly, I've frequented the aformentioned retail unit club in my misspent youth and had the pleasure of wandering around the various Michelin starred establishments in a state of gentle inebriation - Can't possibly imagine why anyone would think that they might offer some of life's additional services, especially as their only source of genuine income was sadly removed some time ago biggrin

Still, minor league compared to some of the lovelier parts of other parts of the sunny North I've meandered through.
