Ive been to one a couple of years ago. its alright- worth a visit if the tickets are free. but i probably wouldnt go again. its just a big food festival with a lot of freebies and then there are a load of fancy restaurants (mostly Ramsey) that set up offering taster plates that cost between £3-£6 each (in their own special taste money) the food is usually reasonable and its a good way to see what the restaurants do without the major investment. You also get a chance to see demos from some of the top chefs. My overiding feeling at the Taste of Christmas was that it was all a bit comercial and way too busy. but it was an OK day out.

Ive also been to taste of Edinborough and Taste of Bath (when it was still going)and they were better in my opinion especially if you properly indulge yourself in it.

I would leave the car at home though as you get plied with a lot of free booze tasters.
