My Chasseur casserole pot has a chip in the enamel in the main bowl. How bad is this? Is it unwise to use it now?

Its still safe to use but I wouldn't stand too near the oven until the pot is up to temperature so you can be sure its not going to crack.

I have quite a few really old LC pots with chips in them - all fine. Cooking with seasoned cast iron is fine afterall....

I would of course like a new pot, but if i dont need one, i wont get one! smile
