Anyone know of a good Restaurant/Gastro Pub near Bury St Edmonds please?

Assuming we don't get snowed in Saturday, the OH and I are supposed to be visiting her Grandma in Bury and we're lost for a reasonable eatery.

Had a quick look at the PH Good Restaurant guide, but everything seemed a fair distance away frown and beerintheevening wasn't too helpful either.

Cheers

Mike

Hi

If you can make it out to Ickworth then Fredericks is possibly the best in the direct area.
Masion bleue is supposed to be good, I have eaten at the sister restaurant, Mariners, in Ipswich and that is a nice place too.

Grid in the high street is OK, had lunch their, wasn't blown away but OK.

Pea Porridge in Cannon Street is supposed to be very good. I've not been there myself but all my friends that have say it's the best restaurant in Bury St Edmunds.
