Ice with your diet coke sir?

We left a box of Diet Coke cans and a box of Coke cans in the boot of our car for a couple of days. See pic for results!




Four diet coke cans burst and none of the regular Coke cans burst, I'm presuming this is to do with the sugar content/freezing point of Coke vs Diet Coke.

Interesting the way it has forced the whole of the top of the can off like that!

(This wasnt some weird experiment, we just didnt get them out after our shopping trip)

The weakest point of a can is the seam between the body and the end so that's the part which split if there's a lot of volume to get rid of.

And yes Diet will freeze before regular due to sugar content.
