How about a foodie version of the 'tell us something trivial about your life' thread?

Something you've just eaten, maybe for the first time or maybe very regularly, which utterly tickles your tastebuds but doesn't warrant a thread in its own right.

In time honoured fashion, I'll start smile

Tesco Finest Extra Thick Cream with Champagne (on a warm mince pie)

Om nom nom!

ETA: I think I may have been misunderstood by some respondents (which, I guess, is my fault)

I was anticipating more spontaneous feedback of nominess; i.e. that you're 'typing whilst eating' (not nearly as rude as talking with your mouth full), or reporting your delight soon after eating the item in question.

As opposed to simply describing your favourite food.

I fancied a nostalgia trip the other day so had a spam fritter from the chippy.

Ye gads, that was utterly rank yet lovely at the same time! yikes

We actually used to be given these for food at school.

Eat your healthy heart out Jamie Oliver!

Children's food. For example, a chicken nugget with beans, peas and sweetcorn (all at the same time).

Me too, hadn't had them for a long time, until there were some dealers/pushers outside Sainsbury's a while ago. I thought I could cope with trying one little sample!

During my trip to Vietnam last month - an ostrich steak - sooooo delicious!
My friend brought me some smoked reindeer for Christmas from Finland. Best sandwich filler ever!

First line of the OP is the key:

How about a foodie version of the 'tell us something trivial about your life' thread?

I was anticipating a thread of comments regarding food which is tickling your taste buds right now (as in, real time)

Had some Salt & Vinegar Discos a short while ago.. Always good to have a pack of those now and then, can't just do 1 crisp in at once too, got to be 2 or 3.

Later I'm going to be having Tesco Own.. Strips & Pops. I know its not good for you, but its a good little meal for a saturday infront of a film.
