So I've just found a bottle from 1996 in my stash!

I've got a couple of questions,

1. For how long will it stay drinkable?
2. If I don't need to drink it pronto, how would be the best way to store it? Bearing in mind that I don't have a cellar!biggrin

Cheers peeps!

It won't be anything special, it's just that the age caught me by surprise. I can't have been rotating my stock very well! biggrin

It's an H. Blin 1996 Brut

As I recall from my trips round some champagne houses, by the time you buy champagne it's already matured to perfection, so you're supposed to drink it there and then. Keeping it doesn't improve anything they said.

It's generally considered a vintage year, but if you are asking how to store it fourteen years later and no cellar you could well have ruined it already.

I'd just open it tonight. As said, Champagne doesn't really improve in the bottle.
