The mrs has been buying margering for years and I've been programmed to use this low fat gear as a butter substetute.

Thing is she bought some Yorkshire best butter as a Christmas only treat and I'm stunned by how nice proper butter is!! Just makes everything taste bloody nice.

What butter do you use and is there any premium must haves out there?

Morrisons special butter, with salt crystals in. For unsalted, President.

Anchor, salted, 1/4 inch thick on tiger bread. For unsalted when baking etc, then budget store brand will do.

I refuse to eat margarine or any of the other "alternatives". Vile taste that I will never get used to.

Lurpak is King. All hail the king. Mashed tatties with anything other than loads of Lurpak is just wrong. Plus banana pieces yum yum

Banana comment confuses me, Banana with butter or banana with mash?
