Visiting Ipswich for the week, and fancy heading to a fish market to see/buy the freshly caught and landed fish. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas where I can go tomorrow?
may be not quite what you were thinking of, but there are a number of huts on the beach at Aldburgh where you can buy fish landed that day. 20~30 mins by car from Ipswich.
I lived in Ipswich for 26 years, and never saw a fish market. There is/was a normal market in the town centre. I think you would be better off looking in one of the coastal towns.
Adleburgh looks pretty close. Any idea on where and when the market happens? Ideally I'm looking for something like the Cornish style fish markets, where you can pretty much buy anything, but means an early start, which I'm ok with.
