Restaurants in Bromley/SE London
Discussion
Can anyone suggest any decent Mexican restaurants in the Bromley-ish area (even Lewisham, Sidcup or north Kent)? It's been a few years since I ate at any in the area.
Alternatively is the Village Taverna in Lee Green still going and is it any good? Are there any decent restaurants in Blackheath or Greenwich these days?
Cheers

Desperado's in Petts Wood (east, near HSBC) is really good, decent portions and it tastes really good as well. I was been there twice in the past month and everybody i have been with (family and gf) have loved it. Can't be beaten for the money (starter, drinks and main for 2 = £35)
It has always been busy since it opened a few months ago which has to be a good sign

lol, last time I went there was 20 years ago, and the entire bar as one stopped and turned to look at us as we walked in, as if we'd arrived in some locals only West Country pub. I could almost hear the banjos starting up.Cotty said:

Its not so bad these days. A long time coming, but I wanted to say thanks - we went to Desperados and it was very reasonable, the food was good and it wasn't overly expensive. It was busy but service was quite reasonable.
We did go into the Wetherspoons on the other side of the railway line afterwards, and that was a pleasant surprise too. It was clean for a start, and didn't smell of wee, which had been my overriding Wetherspoons experience thus far. OK they didn't understand the concept of wine spritzer but you can't have everything, I guess.
