I brew beer at home and I have discovered there are two golden rules to it;

1 - You do not have to be old, have a beard, b.o or a penchent for swinging to do it moderately well (28, Gillete Fusion, Sure for men, wife won't entertain it)
2 - It will always taste like turd unless it has a good name.

Historical names for my brews include 'Brown Thunder' (not because of it's colour), 'Flimbiddy McNoshforest' (I had consumed a large amount of it when that was thought of) and 'Splat' (same reason as aforementioned 'Brown Thunder').

I've now brewed around 20 gallons of a new ale and need a good name, but can't thing of one that fits it well, so over to the PH team to fill in a rather important blank for me.

The beer is a dark ale and approx 7% abv. It tastes broadly similar to your average pull-pump brew available in most pubs. The name needs to be simple enough to be coherent when sober and slightly entertaining when not.

Bhrum Szchlaggener.
German for Bum Slagger; if it reacts with Sourkraut that is (whilst on the crapper the morning after)

BRILLIANT!! These are some good names for the brew, I particularly like Scruttocks Old Nasty!

BTW - whatever name 'wins' is going on labels for the bottles!

Beer.

"I'll have a bottle of beer"

"How about trying some of my beer?"

"Whats that you're drinking?" "Beer."

Simple yet effective.

"Brown Surprise"

Mainly because it sounds like a euphemism for following through.
