Might, just might, have bought a 40+ cover restaurant. A proper, full-on restaurant. Not a play around thing but 4-5 staff plus event catering with mainstream food in the summer season then higher end stuff for the local market in the winter. A couple of doors down is charging £12 for a starter and it's No.1 on Trip Advisor. I ate there last night wink

Could be trading in under 2 weeks!!! eek

/anyone want to KP or FOH, I need staff!!!!
(already on to the college to pick up some AMA kitchen bods)

Congratulations party

If you need anything F&F wise, I have a warehouse full. Send a list of requirements if you do. Sure I will have something to suit.

Well done - you've clearly got the talent for it. Now to make it pay!

I'll be down when in the area for your 12-course tasting menu (with wine) ;-)

I hope it happens Tony. Best of luck and will try and visit next time I'm in the UK. I hope it will be to the standard of the cooking competitions (or better !).

I'm in South Devon, Brixham to be precise. The intention is to go with informal family orientated dining with a French influence which ties in with the history of the port.

Right now I've got to go back to basics on it, front of house needs redoing but fortunately the kitchen is pretty much bang on.

PH meet up would be a laugh once/if I get up and running. Still no deal signed but paperwork ready to go to the solicitors!

Funny that actually, as I'm down there in June for the trawler race! Sounds like a great venture and I'll be keeping tabs on this thread to see whats happening as i'll more than likely pop in when I'm down there!

Well done Tony.

Sounds daunting but a brilliant thing to do all at the same time.

All the best with it.
