Hi

It's mine and my girlfriends anniversary on Saturday (I know I've left it too late!).

We live in Blackburn and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent restaurant to go to? Getting there isn't a problem, espcially if we can make a day of it. i.e. Bolton-by-Bowland/Peak/Lake District.

Can anyone recommend?

Cheers

Stanley House
Freemasons at Wiswell
The Bull, near Skipton - a bit of a drive
The Oyster and Otter - new in Feniscowles but highly recommended
Northcote Manor - a second shout up

If your going big though try the tasting menu in the Burlington at the Devonshire Arms in Bolton Abbey. They do stay over deals as well

Or how about The Swann Inn at Aughton, its a Marco Pierre White Bistro and is very nice. Website here http://www.mpwtheswan.co.uk/

Dont forget this restaurant http://www.yuandyou.com/ which was on Ramseys Best Restaurant and is on the A59.

The Spread Eagle is one of our favourites but we fancy somewhere different. Hopefully we'll get around to trying all of these mentioned on here but I think we're starting with the three fishes.

Many thanks for all the replies!
