After last years French airstrikes ruined our trip to El Bulli.......the wife very kindly handed me a card this morning for my 30th saying we have got a table for 2 at the Fat Duck next Thursday!

Very excited and cannot wait to get tasting!

Happy birthday! You'll have an amazing time. I went to the Fat Duck for my 30th the other year and it was a truely fantastic experience - part fine dining, part culinary theatre. Just don't eat anything the day you go so that you've still got room for the optional cheese course after the other 14 courses!

Nice one. The Fat Duck is on me and my GF's list for restaurants to do next - we almost went this year but settled for the totally different Le Gavroche instead.
