Anyone care to recommend any restaurants or pubs with good food near Silverstone. I seem to recall a pub called the Green Man?

Avoid the green man like the plague. it is a chef and brewer, and a bad one at that. stayed there before a porsche event once. we waited 2 hours for a crappy meal, and when we complained they made out like it was our fault. the restraunt at Whittlebury hall 2 miles down the road might be worth a try.

There are quite a few palces to eat in Towcester, so it depends on what kind of thing you're after.

Went a few weeks back and went to the Indian on the high street - was reasonable.

The Vine House at Paulerspury was 'Restaurant of the Year' in the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards. Not too expensive either.
