Eating Out - Lowestoft
Discussion
Dear all
Heading over to Southwold soon but staying in Lowestoft so can anyone recommend a nice place for me and my lucky missus to eat?
I saw on the PH good food guide there was a restaurant called the Flint but I googled and it's appeared to have since shut down.
Would prefer a place with nice local ale.
Thanks guys

Limited knowledge from me but......
For curries, either The Spice Den or the Red Rose (crackin Shaslick) very close to each other on the top end of the High Street.
If you fancy a nice meal in nice surroundings, the The Crooked Barn Restaurant on Ivy Lane Oulton Broad, very good quality food and run by extremely nice people.
If you fancy something quick, you could try the Chinese buffet place the China Diner (again on the top end of the High Street), as you would expect from such a place atmosphere wise, but again nice staff (when they're not getting nicked by immigration
), but even on quiet nights they do keep the food fresh and replaced regularly.
