For me, the ultimate bar nibble as well. Better than peanuts / crisps / scratchings et al.

Bit late really:

"Olives are harvested in the autumn and winter. More specifically in the Northern hemisphere, green olives are picked at the end of September to about the middle of November. Blond olives are picked from the middle of October to the end of November and black olives are collected from the middle of November to the end of January or early February"

Should have been loads of preserved styles in the Boqueria market though.

Not too bad, in moderation. Too much is sickly but a little bit isn't bad.

I love 'em as long as they're not too salty (as the actress said to the bishop). Especially the anchovy stuffed kind.

Ahhh so thats why! Cheers for the info!

I did have a look round the market, but was just disapointed by the standard green olives in brine/other stuff tbh, ahh well, win some loose some!

Oh yes. Best reason to go to Malmaison / Hotel du Vin (well, second best, after the SMWS)

I adore Tabasco-branded Olives, although you don't see them that often in the supermarkets...

I love them and my 2 year old adores them. I took her out for lunch on saturday and she had half of the bowl of olives that were on the table and all of the olives from my pizza.

Beat me to it, they're very very good, even better than most of the olives I've been served in supposedly good restaurants.
