where to sell a glasto ticket
Discussion
I go to glasto every year and am no tout but for a genuine reason i have a ticket for sale - now you cant get a refund anymore yet the nazi police at glasto get your ebay listings taken down - any ideas where i can sell it - it was on for 2 hours on ebay and i had 8 people mail to say how much to take it off so i'd like it to go to auction if possible as im poor at the mo and so want as much as possible.
to all those who say you shouldnt try and sell the ticket f off ive spent thousands at glasto in the past and this is the first time i have sold a ticket and any other goods in this world you can trade freely soo naaa.
can u sell tickets on ebid or am i best just trying v high fixed price on gumtree?
would it be illegal to set up a website selling glasto tickets for those who genuinely cant go out of interest?

The deadline for ticket refunds is May 6th 2011.

So you're stuffed on that option. Gumtree, Craigslist, friends ... but as said it's going to have your photo on so any buyer will need to look something like you and be prepared for the fact that they'll be turned away.
There are a few threads on the efestivals discussion board about chances of doing this/getting caught, maybe worth a search and look

That is quite simply madness. Having no rights to a refund or being able to sell it on, silly system.http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/...REFUNDS_CANCELLATIONS_EXCHANGES_LOST_TICKETS

exactely which is why i have no qualms with selling it ( or trying to..) - oh and to those who laugh to quickly i have never known it be a prob that the photo does not match the personI had trouble at the gate last year when they didn't believe my picture on my ticket was me..it was it was just a few years old and I had a beard...supervisor eventually let me in
They do compare your picture to your mug so watch out!!
I'll be there next week same pic so poss same trouble

All tickets have the conditions that you shouldn't sell it on, and are not subject to refunds.... and Glasto have the photo on the ticket to prevent touting, and genuine festival goers being ripped off having to pay well over the face value to get in.
Glasto is fair that they have a refund in place, with a fair cut off date.
Its not the festivals fault you cant go, so why should they be liable to refund you?

You do have rights to a refund, which is more than most venues/ festivals will offer you, it's just that the cut off point has been and gone. If this kind of thing helps to stop people selling concert tickets on for a "v high price" then I'm all for it.Shotgun Rider said:

It just means that Glastonbury have the "right" to charge an extortionate price for the ticket in the first place. It's 200 f

I take it you are only going to sell it to someone who looks like you AND give them proof of your address?
