What song never fails to wake you up in the morning?... You know, the one that really gets you going.
For me it's Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival

I used to like the old early Radio 4 theme tune. That medley of Rule Britannia, Danny Boy etc that came on at 5.45am. Call me old fashioned...

Really?? They must have played it dozens of times on Tour Of Duty. cool I only mention that because I am guessing the 71 in your name refers to your year of birth. As soon as I heard the song, I thought of Hueys flying over jungles. biggrin

Years ago I had a boombox/ghetto blaster (it was huge with a "bass" speaker in the middle - awesome!!!) which had a clock so I used as a radio alarm. For some reason I decided to be woken up by Iron Maidens "The Number of the Beast" - never again as I needed to peel myself off the ceiling!

I wake up to the Today programme, and can't fall to sleep easily without "Sailing By".

Not that I wake up to that, it just reminds me to dig out their first album. Simple, refreshing rock.

Boll Weevil was the favourite tune.
